Spring has Sprung

Monday, March 03, 2008 - 01:40 PM

OK... Not yet, but it will soon.

This is my favorite time of year. The weather is starting to break, the trees are on the cusp of budding, and everything is in a nice, muddy state of renewal. You can smell it on the breeze.

And with Spring, comes the warmer weather and, inevitably, a marked increase in the quality of people-watching on the streets of Philadelphia.

It's a good time to be alive in the city.

My personal favorite is the Girls of Indian Summer. (They do that on purpose, ya know.)

In Response to Guigar (#41189):

Those are the girls who leave the house in a thick sweater for the chilly morning, and by 11 A.M. (after the day warms a bit) can be seen in only the tight white t-shirt hidden underneath. Some girls even go commando.

In college, between classes, some of us would set up on campus with hot coffee and a great vista to pass the time between classes.

Wha--? Wait...

The girls who went commando...

What happened when they took off their sweaters?

Wand which campus *was* this exactly?

(In the interest of journalism, of course.)

Hell, let's face it, we're not responsible for anything; including the things we say, do, or think. And if you sue us because you think we are? Well, we're not responsible for that either.
