Vet Stadium memories

Monday, January 28, 2008 - 11:06 AM

Are you like me? I think the new ballpark is perfectly nice, but I would go back and re-live the Vet Stadium days in a heartbeat.

I mean, Citizens Bank park (sheesh... what a name...) is nice and clean and all... but... geez. It has absolutely no character.

Besides... you know what was nice about the Vet? It was HUGE. You could literally catch the subway down to the park on gameday and score great seats behind third base. I know, my wife and I used to do it all the time.

Of course, that was pre-kids. Now I have two kids. At the current price of tickets, to take my family to a game at the new place, I have to have proof of collateral!

Give me the Vet any day of the week.

Meanwhile, you'll find me and the boys across the bridge at Campbell's Field watching the Camden Riversharks.

They're just on a stadium demolition spree lately, aren't they? Isn't it either the Wachovia Center or the Spectrum that they're taking down next?

Hell, let's face it, we're not responsible for anything; including the things we say, do, or think. And if you sue us because you think we are? Well, we're not responsible for that either.
