Wildlife in the city

You'd really be surprised how much wildlife you can find in the city. Just a couple months ago, I nearly ran over an opossum about three blocks from my house.

And from my front window, I can often see a pigeon being plucked off the street by a swooping falcon or hawk.

If you have any similar urban wildlife stories, feel free to post them here or drop me an e-mail.

We have a whole herd of deer that live in the woods behind the local elementary school. Just two weeks ago, I narrowly avoided hitting one in a residential area in town. About a month ago my daughter and I saw a 10-point buck drinking from the creek that runs right by one of the busiest intersections in town, and he seemed unphased by the traffic noise.

Hell, let's face it, we're not responsible for anything; including the things we say, do, or think. And if you sue us because you think we are? Well, we're not responsible for that either.
