Although the person who encouraged me to do today's Phable spoke about it as a "South Philly thing" -- and it's definitely prevalent in that neighborhood -- I've noticed it all over as I'm running errands around the city. It's as strong a tradition in Frankford, for example, as it is in Fairmount.

So, here's your chance to showcase some of the best. Or the worst.

You'd really be surprised how much wildlife you can find in the city. Just a couple months ago, I nearly ran over an opossum about three blocks from my house.

And from my front window, I can often see a pigeon being plucked off the street by a swooping falcon or hawk.
